"I was very blessed to have family and friends, paricularly family, who told me I was not only all right...I was just right..."
~ Maya Angelou
"There are no limits to learning nor boundaries to whom you can become, therefore, REACH HIGH"
~ Linda F. Wilson II
Founder, The Reach High Village
The Reach High Village is a licensed Family Child Care which offers a Preschool Curriculum program with trained teachers. The facility was established in 2008 and is owned and operated by Linda F. Wilson II, a fully certified and experienced Early Childhood Education provider.
At The 'Reach High' Village, we have the fundamental value that "it takes a village to raise a child". For the last ten (10) years, we have delivered safe, loving, caring, fun learning environments for families in the Bay Area of California.
We provide an enriched learning environment that has helped close to 500 students learn, develop and grow. We never stop innovating, shifting our programs to meet the changing needs of the diverse families we serve. Our unparalleled curriculum and teaching methods help students take the next step in their education and approach the future with confidence.
We have the privilege of caring for bright and curious students from Oakland, Hayward, Castro Valley and the surrounding areas. But we feel equally as privileged to engage with the phenomenal families we have served. Our programming focuses on integrating the entire family in advancing each child's learning and development. We even go as far as to develop and offer novel parent support programs to assist busy parents with home learning activities.
2020 has demanded that we innovate even further on how we offer early childhood care and education. With many students immersed in remote learning, we are even more committed to helping the village. If you’re new to our community and would like to learn more about our values, academics, teaching staff or anything else, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
We develop culturally aware confident children providing them and their entire family with a strong foundation of skills and behaviors on which to build their future academic and social development.
In 2008 The Reach High Village opened its doors as a licensed Early Education Program and began serving children ages 0-5. As the inaugural class of students transitioned to elementary school, our first class of parents found the program so beneficial that they wanted to keep their little ones with Reach High. To accommodate this, Reach High founder, Linda Wilson, launched an after-school program that supported children up to age 12.
Within our village like environment, it was apparent that child care would continue to be a challenge for our working families. The demands of the Bay Area commute, and the intense workdays restricted family quality time. In keeping with our concept of the village, the leadership at The Reach High Village recognized that entire families needed support as their children navigated the educational system.
The recognition that our village could do so much more for the families led to the launch of our very own Family Hot Meals program. We served families once per week, allowing them the opportunity to spend quality time with the entire family together. Our creativity went beyond this to incorporate take-home, child selected family reading and a parent support group that allowed parents access to community, peer, and educational resources.
